First Swiss Conference for Educational Development in Dubai focuses on the development of educational quality management strategies
Dubai on 6 June/ WAM/ First Swiss Conference for Educational Development topics were mainly: Strategies for the development of educational quality management, Effective cognitive and behavioral intervention, foundations of educational assessment and evaluationand Smart teaching new technology applications.
The conference, which was held over two days in the Higher colleges of Technology in Dubai under the theme’’ Towards Excellence in Education’’, is the first of its kind in the region and it aimed to contribute in developing professional and vocational training of educators.
The conference was organized in collaboration with Excellence de l’éducation in Dubai and the Higher College of Teachers Training in Switzerland, with the contribution of Swiss experts and university professors to allow educators to benefit from the Swiss leading experience through lectures, workshops and direct interaction with the participants.
Dr. Ahmed Eid Al Mansouri, Director of Dubai Educational Zone, stressed the importance of the First Swiss Conference as a new and unique experience, which would enhance efforts in developing the educational system by new approaches and quality practices. He emphasize the importance of the initiation on the leading educational systems and the transfer of expertise and experience.
He pointed out the particular participation of Dubai Educational Zone in the Conference, school leaders, principals and administrative bodies, teachers, social workers, special education and learning disabilities specialists, educational curricula developers from the Ministry of Education, as well as parents, in order to develop school administrators’ skills in their specific fields, in line with the strategy and policy of the Ministry of Education to develop the trainees competences, either through workshops, conferences or training courses.
He added that the Conference is a good opportunity to be acquainted with aleading expertise in the field of education, such as Swiss universities and colleges, knowing that these initiatives are in accordance with the orientation of the higher authorities, which encourage the selection of the best practices suitable to our learning and educational environment.
The First Swiss Conference for Educational Development included specialized lectures and workshops, which has been presented by a group of Swiss experts.
